About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our interdisciplinary team. Reporting to the Director of Resident Services, you will play a key role in helping residents achieve and maintain optimal physical and functional health outcomes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about senior care and committed to excellence in physiotherapy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ physical and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide education and support to residents and families.
- Act as a clinical resource for staff and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning, staff education, and interdisciplinary meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Rehabilitation Sciences.
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience, preferably in Long Term Care.
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Eligible for membership with the Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC).
Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical assessment and physiotherapy skills.
- Knowledge of CPTBC standards and long-term care regulations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and related software.
Job Type: Part-Time (0.76 FTE)
Schedule: Tues–Fri (first 3 weeks), Tues–Thurs (next 2 weeks) – flexible days available
Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm
Union: Health Sciences Association (HSA)
