Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is hiring experienced Senior Therapists to provide home-based ABA and IBI services for individuals with autism in the GTA. All staff will be under the supervision of a BCBA/RBA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and supervising instructor therapists and significant others in home and community settings to ensure high fidelity in ABA procedure implementation and emailing visit summaries to the team.
- Ensuring graphs and session notes are up-to-date and completed thoroughly.
- Documenting all services provided, including on-sight visits and indirect services.
- Developing and implement crisis management strategies to reduce hazardous outcomes of dangerous behaviours.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including clinical psychologists, speech pathologists, classroom teachers, and special education teachers in plan development.
- Developing individualized behaviour plans and ABA programs to improve and maintain clients’ functional behaviour, language, and communication, while reducing challenging behaviour.
- Reviewing data to guide program development and revision.
- Conducting functional assessments, as well as skills assessments, including ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, and PEAK.
- Preparing progress reports and sharing summaries with clients' significant others.
- Preparing program materials when needed.
- Attending team meetings as required.
- Preparing data sheets and graphs, and making updates as needed.
Qualifications:
· A degree or diploma/certificate related to ABA.
· BCaBA, BCBA, or RBA Certification an asset
· Minimum 1 year experience supervising ABA therapists
· Able to work independently
· Proficient in Word and Excel
· Access to a vehicle is an asset
· Vulnerable Sectors Check
Pay: $40.00-$100.00 per hour
