Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced FOH (Front of House) Manager with previous experience at a sushi restaurant to lead our FOH team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of food service operations. As the FOH Manager, you will oversee daily front-of-house activities, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and hospitality. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring smooth restaurant operations
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to uphold quality standards and customer satisfaction
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlists to optimize guest flow
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Lead staff training on hospitality best practices, food safety, and customer service excellence
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally to enhance the dining experience
- Assist in kitchen operations when necessary, including basic food preparation and cooking oversight
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area in accordance with health standards
- Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate with kitchen management for seamless service
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food industry operations, including restaurant management and hospitality
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Experience with food handling procedures and maintaining health standards
- Previous restaurant experience, including serving or barista experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and professionalism in high-pressure situations
- Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
