Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Toast are preferred. The Server will play a vital role in creating a positive atmosphere for guests while maintaining efficient service throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Toast
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of the food industry best practices
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Toast, for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact with guests
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques

Pay: $17.85 per hour
