Finance Manager in Belleville, Ontario for one of its valued partners in the manufacturing industry.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a highly visible role within a manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Supply Chain, and Program Management to provide financial analysis and insights that support plant profitability, cost control, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

Finance Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities
- Consolidate and analyze financial inputs related to sales, materials, labour, overhead, scrap, and production launches
- Develop financial models and scenarios to evaluate production volumes, product mix, labour requirements, cost inflation, and operational changes
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to plant leadership
- Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labour, and manufacturing overhead, ensuring BOMs and routing structures accurately reflect manufacturing processes
- Lead annual standard cost roll activities and analyze key manufacturing variances, including material usage, purchase price, scrap, labour productivity, overhead absorption, and production efficiency
- Analyze profitability and margins by product line, customer program, and business segment
- Support customer quoting, commercial activities, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement projects through financial analysis
- Support month-end close activities, including variance analysis, financial commentary, reporting, dashboards, and management summaries
- Partner with Program Management on forecasts, financial models, program profitability, engineering changes, sourcing decisions, and product launches
- Support capital investment analysis, including ROI, payback, and NPV calculations
- Serve as a trusted financial partner to Operations, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior finance team members and support continuous improvement across the finance function
Finance Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, plant finance, financial controlling, or a similar finance role
- Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, profitability analysis, and variance analysis
- Strong understanding of standard costing and manufacturing financial processes
- Experience working with BOMs, routings, material costs, labour, manufacturing overhead, and scrap
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, QAD, Oracle, Plex, or similar
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial modelling, and XLOOKUP; Power Query experience is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational data into meaningful financial insights
- Excellent communication and business-partnering skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable taking a hands-on approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
