PART TIME HOUSEKEEPER

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the essential responsibility of this role is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities in accordance with our established standards and procedures to contribute to an overall outstanding guest experience each and every stay.

JOB TYPE:
Part Time / 20-30 hrs per week: $19.23/hour

REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Housekeeping/cleaning and/or hospitality experience required
- Must be able to work weekends, as well as holidays as needed
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Detail oriented
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently while multi-tasking and improvise when necessary
- Work well both independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Energetic and enjoy physical labour
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation to and front work
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms and all hotel spaces in a timely and organized manner according to hotel procedures and brand standards, including: dusting, making beds, removing soiled linens and garbage, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting, cleaning furniture, washing dishware, cleaning inside windows and replenishing room supplies.
- Consistently offer welcoming, friendly and professional service to guests.
- Maintain the room attendant cart and replenish items as required.
- Communicate any guest requests, concerns, or unusual situations to the Housekeeping Manager and/or an onsite Guest Relations team member promptly.
- Participate in deep cleaning projects as scheduled.
- Maintain and use cleaning supplies and equipment properly, safely and efficiently.
- Regularly stock, organize and inventory linens, amenities and storage areas.
- Wash, dry, and fold hotel linens and laundry, treating stains if necessary.
- Assist with seasonal walkway maintenance, garden care, and outdoor tidiness as required.
- Secure, label and report items left behind by guests.
- Report and document any maintenance issues or damage in rooms or common areas promptly.
- Perform other related duties and follow hotel standards as assigned.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks.
- Occasional climbing or descending ladders and stairs.
- Outdoor work including gardening, light landscaping and light snow/ice maintenance.
