Duties
- Safely operate tour vehicles while navigating designated routes through natural environments, ensuring passenger safety at all times. An F drivers license is mandatory to apply for this role. Do not apply unless you have this license.
- Lead guided excursions, providing informative commentary on local ecosystems, wildlife, history, and cultural significance using storytelling techniques
- Manage tour group logistics, including boarding, and coordinating timing to maximize visitor experience
- Build rapport with guests by delivering engaging communications and responding to questions with clarity and enthusiasm
- Maintain communication with team members and emergency response when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and adhere to wilderness safety standards, including first aid and CPR procedures when needed
- Assist in tour planning by providing input on route selection, interpretive content, and guest engagement strategies
Experience
- Proven outdoor work experience or previous tour guiding roles in natural or wilderness settings
- Effective communication with diverse international guests
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing tour groups of varying sizes in outdoor environments
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills to captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of wilderness safety practices, including first aid and CPR certification
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with guests through storytelling, teaching, and excellent communication skills
- Time management skills to coordinate tours efficiently while maintaining high-quality guest experiences
