Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing engaging activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive space, and fostering positive interactions with children. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social skills
- Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and mealtime to ensure safety and engagement
- Provide attentive care to children, including helping with personal needs and fostering a caring environment
- Support inclusive practices by working effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a positive educational experience
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones for reporting purposes
Experience
- At least 1 year of classroom experience working with children in a Montessori Child Care Centre is preferred
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
