Cleaner / Household Assistant
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaner / Household Assistant to help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, flexible, and takes pride in providing high-quality work with minimal supervision.
This role may involve supporting more than one household location, making reliability, adaptability, and strong communication skills essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, and other household spaces
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces to a high standard
- Change bed linens and assist with laundry as required
- Organize household spaces and help maintain a tidy, orderly environment
- Empty garbage and recycling bins
- Restock household and cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are running low
- Follow established cleaning schedules and household preferences
- Report maintenance concerns, repairs, or safety issues promptly
- Assist with coordinating access for service providers and contractors when required
- Support occasional household projects and tasks as needed
- Travel between assigned locations as required
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for the privacy of household members
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, nanny, or household assistant experience is an asset but not required
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities and household needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable travelling between multiple locations as required
- Ability to identify and report maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered an asset
