Long Haul Driver Class 1 and Five Ton Driver Class 5
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable Long Haul Drivers (Class 1) and Five Ton Drivers (Class 5) to operate commercial vehicles across regional and long-distance routes. The ideal candidates will be responsible for safely transporting freight, managing heavy equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient logistics, contributing to the smooth operation of our transportation services.
Duties
- Operate Class 1 or Class 5 commercial trucks for long-distance and local freight deliveries.
- Safely load, unload, and secure freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Manage heavy equipment operation when required, including forklifts for loading/unloading cargo.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation.
- Assist with warehouse duties related to freight handling and inventory management when applicable.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly long-haul routes for Class 1 drivers or local deliveries for Class 5 drivers.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for heavy loads.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class (Class 1 or Class 5).

Pay: $55,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
