About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and inspecting electronic components and circuit boards to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform hand soldering and rework on through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components per IPC standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Inspect solder joints and assemblies using magnification tools and visual inspection methods
- Set up and operate soldering equipment including soldering irons, reflow ovens, and wave soldering machines
- Identify and rework defects such as cold joints, bridges, and missing components
- Complete accurate production records and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation
- Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues
- Follow all health, safety, and workplace regulations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on soldering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in both through-hole and SMT soldering techniques
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and steady hand dexterity
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
- Comfortable working with ESD-sensitive components
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 certification
- Experience with automated soldering equipment (reflow oven, wave solder)
- Background in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing
- Experience using microscopes or other inspection equipment
- Ability to interpret BOM (Bill of Materials) documentation

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
