Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Farm Labourer to join our farm team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting with livestock activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn about various farm processes. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dairy farm environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely
- Use hand tools and power tools for repairs and upkeep of farm facilities
- Support livestock care as needed, including feeding and cleaning
- Routine Milking of the herd
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist with general farm chores such as fencing, landscaping, and soil preparation
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of farm machinery preferred
- Experience with maintenance tasks and use of hand tools or power tools is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to farming tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Prior experience in farming or agricultural work is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
