Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Support Worker who is comfortable supporting clients in their homes and assisting with daily living activities. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and committed to providing high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities- (MUST BE IN THUNDERBAY, NO RELOCATIONS OR SPONSORSHIPS)
- Provide personal care and support to clients as needed
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and kitchen organization
- Prepare meals, including planning, cooking, and assisting with feeding if required
- Offer companionship and maintain a supportive, respectful environment
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and walking support
- Provide medication reminders
- Support clients during appointments and outings
- Use creativity and problem‑solving skills to respond to client needs
Qualifications
- PSW CERTIFICATE from Ontario school/ college
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Valid Police Clearance
- Current Medical/TB Clearance
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Flexible availability
- Comfortable with housekeeping and meal preparation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Assets (Preferred)
- Experience supporting clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents
- Driver’s license and access to a car
Pay: $21.00 per hour
