Purpose:

Education:
High School Diploma. Must hold valid minimum Class â??D' driver's licence with â??Z' air brake endorsement and have a driving record acceptable to the University.Please note: This position requires the successful candidate maintain a valid Driver's License and a produce a satisfactory Driver's Abstract. The successful candidate would have to provide proof of a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory Driver's Abstract upon being hired.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of three years' recent experience in the operation of vocational trucks over 11,000 kg (i.e. dump trucks, refuse trucks, roll-off trucks, heavy tow trucks, highway ploughs), plus demonstratedexperience in the operation of at least three of the following types of equipment:
- Cargo trailers and tow-behind equipment
- Dock plates, tailgates, pallet trucks, and other furniture-moving equipment
- Truck-mounted snow ploughs and spreaders
- Large agricultural tractors with implements, especially athletic field maintenance equipment
- Skid-steers, wheel loaders, and articulated loaders
- Backhoes and excavators
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lift and move materials
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
- Must show initiative
- Must demonstrate Customer Service and teamwork skills

Able to carry out daily routine with minimum supervision.
