Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for a wide variety of dental procedures
- Assist the dentist efficiently during restorative, surgical, and preventative treatments
- Accurately document clinical notes and treatment information within Dentrix
- Obtain and update patient medical and dental histories
- Educate patients by reviewing post-operative instructions and home care recommendations as directed by the dentist
- Capture high-quality digital radiographs and assist with intraoral scanning and other digital imaging technologies
- Support treatment planning by gathering diagnostic records and coordinating with the clinical team
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization protocols, including maintaining required logs and biological monitoring records
- Perform laboratory duties such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies and materials
- Work closely with the administrative team to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication regarding treatment plans

- Proficiency with Dentrix software
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral scanning technology is highly desirable
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified Level II Dental Assistant
- Minimum three years of experience in a general or specialty dental practice preferred
- Experience with digital imaging systems and modern dental technology considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Dentrix software is required
