NH3 Meter Calibration Technician
Maxfield is a progressive, experienced and leading manufacturer well known for its high-quality products. This includes design, engineering, fabrication, packaging and servicing a range of pressure vessels, pipe spooling, structural skids and cargo transports. Maxfield also services the truck and transport, natural resources (oil and natural gas, and mining), propane distribution and marketing, power generation and cryogenic industries across Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect/Calibrate and certify NH3 and LPG meters at customer locations on Transport delivery and storage vessels, using electronic computerized reference prover system
- Perform volumetric test measures, meter analysis, repairs and maintenance
- Daily data entry and file transfers
- Perform annual inspections of transport delivery units in compliance with Transport Canada requirements
- Maintain equipment and vehicles
- Complete documents pertaining to the inspection program
- Pipefitting and inspections related to transport/ storage pressure vessels
- Travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of field experience in calibration and repair of Endress Hauser and Liquid Control meters
- Certification as a Measurement Canada ASP
- Minimum 3 years in repairs and maintenance combined with performing Transport Canada Inspections B620.
- Valid driver’s license (Driver’s abstract required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable about Electrical wiring installations, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
- Valid Overhead Crane, Forklift, Fall Protection and First Aid training is considered an asset
- Pipefitting/plumbing experience is considered an asset
