Myarc Electric is hiring for a 3rd year, 4th year, Journeyman Electrician.
The right candidate must be open to learning new skills, participate in an on-call afterhours schedule that runs for 7 days at a time, own transportation to and from the office or site with the possibility of being assigned a service vehicle after 3 months or as needed.
Rate is marginally negotiable based on skill level and experience, and there is a shift premium of $5/hr on out of town work after the first night away from home.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components
- Preference to those electricians that have motor control experience
- Install conduit runs
- Read blueprints
- Mentor apprentices
- Communicate effectively in English with office and customers
- Working knowledge of the CEC 2024
- Perform work in a safe manner
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge on safe work practices (lock out/tag out, fall protection, and hazard assessments)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision independently or in a group
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- A class 5 driver's license with 3 or fewer demerits (abstract must be no older than 30 days pre-hire)
- A clean & professional appearance
- Red Seal Journeyman Ticket if Journeyman
- First Aid, CSTS, Fall Arrest, AWP, H2S Alive, CSO, Fire Alarm PIN (for Journeymen) are pre-employment requirements
