Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/B Gas fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Plumbing and Gas Fitting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The Plumber/B Gas Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing work is performed to code and meets industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain Plumbing/Gas Systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of Plumbing/Gas systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure project completion.
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Communicate with clients regarding plumbing issues, solutions, and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to re-light various gas appliances
Skills
- Proficient in basic math for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot Plumbing/Gas systems effectively.
- Experience in blueprint reading to accurately assess project requirements.
- Familiarity with Gas systems is a plus for integrated projects.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Skills in carpentry may be beneficial for certain installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of welding techniques can enhance versatility in plumbing tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for high-quality workmanship.
