Position Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Dump Truck Drivers and Live Bottom Drivers to join our growing team. Successful candidates will play a key role in transporting materials safely and efficiently to support a variety of excavation and construction projects throughout Haldimand County.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and/or live bottom trailers
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load, transport, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate delivery, inspection, and maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and crew members
- Report vehicle concerns and maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid AZ or DZ licence with a clean driving record
- Experience operating dump trucks and/or live bottom trailers
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety and maintenance
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections
- Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Experience working in the construction or excavation industry
- Heavy equipment operating experience
- Snow removal experience
- Experience floating equipment, including loading, unloading, and transporting machinery
