Job Summary:
As a Laborer, you will support our construction projects by performing various physical tasks, assisting with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment and enjoys physical work. Our projects include site excavation & grading, foundation excavation, sewer & waterline installation & repair, septic system installation & repair, chain link fencing & guardrail, concrete slabs & curb, driveways, general/misc. construction, and commercial snow removal.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand and power tools safely and as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times
- Support supervisors and team members as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience driving and reversing with a trailer is an asset
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow directions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of construction/labor experience (preferred)
- Valid G license and clean driver’s abstract
- May be required to complete a criminal background check
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend work as needed
Compensation:
- Wages starting at $20/hr based on experience, with opportunities for increases based on performance
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
