Job Summary
Halo Outdoor Living INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated deck builder and small renovation carpenter to join our landscape construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of building projects including deck building (wood and composite), fence building as well as some lite home renovation work all while ensuring quality craftsmanship, and adhering to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction tasks, contributing to the successful completion of mostly residential projects.
Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction design plans to accurately execute building projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as decks and fencing.
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed
- Estimate project costs and materials when required for planning purposes
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain safety standards on-site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with a strong understanding of general carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is essential
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and restoration work is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
