Payment in Motion (PIM) is looking for a Web Developer to help migrate an existing Windows-based application to a modern, secure, and user-friendly web application.
The successful candidate will work with our development team to understand the current application, rebuild its functionality for the web, and follow established software development, security, and testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and understand the existing Windows application and workflows.
- Develop responsive web interfaces and secure backend APIs.
- Migrate existing functionality while maintaining compatibility with current systems and databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Follow secure coding, source control, code review, and testing practices.
- Implement authentication, role-based access, audit logging, and appropriate error handling.
- Create unit and integration tests.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and user acceptance testing.
Qualifications
- At least two years of professional web development experience.
- Experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
- Experience with React.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and automated testing practices.
- Understanding of web application security and OWASP recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure, or developing transaction-processing systems is considered an asset.
