Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor check-ins.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including potential theft or vandalism.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs for all security-related activities.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and deterring theft or unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with staff and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
