Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this dynamic role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers efficiently with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Manage cash transactions accurately and handle cash register operations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Support team members in various tasks to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction management are essential
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and food safety standards
Pay: $18.25-$18.50 per hour
