Canmore Premier is now hiring for a skilled Maintenance Technician for our growing team!
We have a strong team-based workplace and were looking for an experienced individual to join us.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair work throughout the Copperstone Resort, as required. Landscaping and yard clean up duties also apply.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
· Perform hands-on maintenance-related duties including but not limited to general repairs, painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping
· Complete maintenance jobs in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, whilst actively billing for projects and hourly repairs and maintenance
· Work with outside contractors for in-suite and property jobs
· Coordinate maintenance projects as required
· Snow removal, shoveling and snow blowing
· Grounds keeping / site cleaning
· Evaluate problematic systems or facilities and determine what installation or repair services need to be performed
· Ensure prompt repairs by responding to emergency situations, and reassign work priorities as required
· Manage and improve maintenance processes as required
· Maintain maintenance costs and revise as required
· Ensure productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained throughout work
· Communication throughout shift with all departments within the hotel
· Ensure emails are answered promptly, and work done during your shift is communicated via email.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have valid Alberta Driver’s license
· Strong communication skills to interact with different groups of people effectively
· Possess high level of safety awareness
· Previous experience in a maintenance type roll
· Hot tub experience is an asset, though not required. Full training provided
· Able to efficiently self-manage work-load
· Clear communication in English, both written and verbal
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position requires flexibility in shifts and schedule and evening/weekend work required.
- Extensive physical activity and lifting on a daily basis to complete position requirements as above.
- Must be physically capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including twisting, turning, bending, lifting and standing for extended periods.

** We do currently offer staff housing. There is no public transportation to and from the work site and Canmore. Parking is available for staff at Copperstone Resort.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
