We are looking for an experienced Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team for the summer. The ideal candidate has experience in wood and steel framing, can work independently, and takes pride in quality workmanship. This position involves residential and commercial projects, with occasional out-of-town travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and install wood and steel framing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Install walls, floors, roofs, and structural components
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with general carpentry and site construction tasks
- Ensure work is completed to safety and quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Travel to out-of-town job sites as required
Requirements:
- Previous framing/carpentry experience required
- Steel framing experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and work from plans
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and tools
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Willingness to travel for projects when needed
