Full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, hybrid work model
Annual salary: $70,000 – $78,000
- Prepare monthly journal entries (accruals, amortization, adjustments)
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, taxes, balance sheet)
- Actively participate in the monthly close process
- Analyze and explain variances
- Prepare GST/QST returns
- Ensure follow-up on periodic tax obligations
- Support the Director of Finance with CTLS/B300 compliance
- Prepare audit files
- Support the preparation of Financial Statements
- Assist with Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis
- Track inventory adjustments (variances, losses, obsolescence)
- Manage all aspects of International Accounts Receivable
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a SME and/or manufacturing environment (an asset)
- Hands-on experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and audits
- Knowledge of GST/QST, comfortable working in a growing SME
- Experience with QuickBooks and Excel (an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility

- Ability to work in a regulated environment with tight deadlines

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Intermediate Accountant plays a key role in general accounting and the monthly close. This position also supports accounts payable and receivable, ensures tax compliance, and helps keep financial operations running smoothly in a fast‑growing environment.
