Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Pool Installer - Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting in the installation of residential and commercial swimming pools, supporting various phases of pool construction, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Prior experience in construction or related trades is a plus, but not mandatory. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in pool installation and general construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the excavation, framing, and pouring of concrete for pool structures
- Support in the installation of plumbing, electrical systems, and filtration equipment
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and finishing tasks
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and caulking as needed for pool shells and deck
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to framing or structural support
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
- Pool maintenance
- Pool service work
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or related trades is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous
- Experience operating heavy equipment or power tools is a plus
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, tile laying, or restoration work is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Strong willingness to learn new skills related to pool installation and general construction processes
