We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable individual to join our team as a Shift Lead at our southside location (3747 99 Street NW).
The Shift Lead plays a key role in both the guest experience and shop operations. You'll spend time serving customers, scooping ice cream, managing inventory, creating schedules, and helping coordinate staffing needs.
Open availability on Friday, Saturday, Sunday is required.
Responsibilities:
- Scoop ice cream and serve it to customers in a friendly manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and create memorable guest experiences
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the store and equipment
- Follow safety and health regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Learn about our products to answer customer questions and provide recommendations
- Operate the cash register and handle money accurately
- Assist with light prep (waffle cones, etc.)
- Create and maintain weekly staff schedules
- Count inventory and complete inventory order sheets
- Coordinate staffing levels based on weather, sales, and business needs
- Assist with other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- A passion for providing memorable guest experiences (most important)
- Previous experience in a similar lead role (example, cafe or restaurant) is a bonus but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take ownership and work independently
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations is preferred
- Ability to handle money accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
