BC owned and operated Johnston Wholesale is currently seeking a highly motivated, dependable, self-driven, and organized Salesperson to join our team. Sales team members act as the link between our company and the retail stores we serve. The successful candidate will collaborate with management and other team members to implement sales strategies while fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
· Employ a variety of techniques to improve product visibility and encourage an increase in sales (following planograms or visual guidelines).
· Identify areas of improvement in the sales process and implement solutions to enhance effectiveness.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key store-level personnel to ensure effective collaboration and execution of merchandising plans.
· Provide insights to management based on sales performance and tracking progress against goals.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products being sold, including their features, benefits, and applications.
- Assist with scheduled resets, category refreshes, new item cut-ins; remedy void and tag issues; display, set and rack maintenance.
- Occasionally travel within the Lower Mainland.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in merchandising and/or grocery sales is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficient time management and the ability to prioritize tasks with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Ability to address customer questions and concerns effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary as this role involves travel between various store locations.
