Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate supports the safe and efficient movement of tires and related products through the warehouse. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, staging, and loading products while maintaining a safe, organized and accurate warehouse environment. Warehouse Associates play a key role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time while following company safety procedures and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking and Fulfillment
- Pick tires and related products accurately according to pick lists
- Verify product size, brand, and SKU to ensure order accuracy
- Stage orders for shipment or customer pickup
- Prepare tires for delivery routes or shipping carriers
Receiving and Put away
- Unload incoming tire shipments safely and efficiently
- Verify quantities and inspect products for damage
- Record and report discrepancies or damaged inventory
- Put away inventory in designated warehouse locations
Loading and Shipping
- Load delivery vehicles or freight carriers according to route or shipment plans
- Secure loads to prevent product damage during transportation
- Assist drivers with staging and route preparation when required
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory placement within the warehouse
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits
- Report inventory issues or location discrepancies
Warehouse Organization
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas
- Ensure aisles, staging areas, and emergency exits remain clear
- Support warehouse layout and product organization standards
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Use proper lifting techniques and mechanical aids when handling tires
- Report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to safety lift and move tires and related products (up to approximately 60lbs repeatedly)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic reading and math skills for order verification
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
