Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler specializing in industrial equipment and repair. This role involves assembling, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery using a variety of tools and technical skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience reading schematics and blueprints, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality industrial projects while developing technical expertise in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and systems according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment safely and effectively
- Use calipers and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy of assemblies
- Perform welding, machining, or fabrication tasks as needed for assembly or repair projects
- Utilize forklift and warehouse experience for material handling and equipment movement
- Follow safety protocols related to manufacturing and warehouse environments
- Conduct quality inspections on assembled components to meet specifications
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues during assembly or repair processes
Requirements
- Proven experience with blueprint reading, schematics, and assembly processes in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment, including familiarity with welding, machining, and hand/power tools
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Experience with welding, machining, or fabrication is highly desirable
- Proficiency using calipers and other precision measurement instruments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems
- Warehouse experience including material handling and inventory management is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work with tools throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and handle parts safely.
- Comfortable working in a machine shop / fabrication environment.
- Use of PPE including safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, and gloves as required.
