Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Hand to join our team at a reputable training and breeding facility. We are looking for someone with horse experience to live on site and work in exchange for living accommodations and pay.. This role is vital in maintaining the health and well-being of our horses, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Duties
- Feed and water horses daily, ensuring their health and cleanliness
- Clean stalls, barns, and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Assist with the handling of horses as needed
- Monitor horse behavior for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management
- Maintain inventory of feed, supplies, and medications
- Support general farm activities including fencing repairs, pasture management, and equipment upkeep
Experience
- Prior experience working with horses is required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) is essential
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be available
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for animal care are highly valued
