Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Greenskeeper to maintain the lush landscapes of our golf courses. Join us in creating an outstanding environment for our guests at Newlands Golf & Country Club.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for the golf course grounds, ensuring optimal playability and aesthetics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to support landscape maintenance.
- Perform tasks relevant to golf course cutting work (mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough)
- Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Support the setup and upkeep of course features such as bunkers and greens.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping projects to enhance the course's beauty.
- Involvement with our cultural programs including aerification, fertilizing and irrigation.
- Follow safety protocols while handling equipment and chemicals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or golf course groundskeeping.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of horticulture and gardening practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
- Valid drivers license with reliable transportation.
