Executive Compass Flight Institute (ECFI) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious Flight Operations Assistant / Ramp Attendant to join our team at Springbank Airport. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional aviation environment while supporting daily flight operations, aircraft handling, and airport activities.
This position will be funded through a student employment program, and applicants must meet all eligibility requirements listed below.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a recognised college, university, or post-secondary institution.
- Applicants enrolled in an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) program must have successfully completed their first year of studies and be returning for their second year of study.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Applicants who do not meet the above eligibility requirements will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with aircraft marshalling, towing, parking, and movement.
- Support aircraft fueling, cleaning, and presentation standards.
- Assist with hangar organisation and facility upkeep.
- Monitor and maintain ramp safety procedures and operational standards.
- Assist with dispatch and flight operations duties as required.
- Support flight instructors, dispatchers, and operational staff with day-to-day activities.
- Perform general groundskeeping and facility maintenance tasks.
- Ensure operational areas remain clean, organised, and professional.
- Assist with special events, student activities, and operational projects.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift equipment when required.
- Interest in aviation is considered a strong asset.
- Previous aviation, operations, customer service, or labour experience is an asset but not required.
