Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our powersports team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring maintenance, repairs, and performance upgrades for ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, and other powersports vehicles. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience from initial consultation through service completion. Strong communication skills, technical knowledge of powersports equipment, and a passion for the powersports lifestyle are essential. Previous dealership, powersports, or mechanical experience is highly desirable.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming dealership environment.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues, repair requests, and maintenance needs.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended repairs, maintenance schedules, accessories, and performance upgrades.
- Recommend additional services, parts, accessories, or seasonal maintenance packages that benefit the customer’s vehicle and riding experience.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs for timely turnaround during peak riding seasons.
- Communicate repair updates, timelines, and parts availability to customers throughout the service process.
- Handle cash, financing paperwork, and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, warranty information, and customer interactions within the dealership management system.
- Follow up with customers after service appointments to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Stay informed on current powersports products, manufacturer programs, and seasonal service requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a powersports dealership, automotive dealership, or service environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, or related equipment.
- Passion for powersports and understanding of rider/customer needs.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Sales experience, particularly in upselling accessories, maintenance packages, or performance products, is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to accurately process payments and maintain organized service documentation.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to move powersports units safely around the dealership preferred.
