We are looking for an Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be have recently completed a Civil Engineering Degree, Civil Engineering Technology Diploma, or Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management. Preference given to candidates who have previous experience in a related role and understand the challenges of working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. They will hold a valid class 5 drivers license and be able to meet our drug and alcohol policy requirements. The following certifications would be considered an asset: CSTS 2020, CSO, Supervisory Level Ground Disturbance, Standard First Aid, WHMIS and H2S Alive.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Project Manager and working directly with the Superintendent and Foremen on site
- Managing all aspects of project tracking relating to quality, costs, and manpower projections
- Provide technical recommendations and support during the planning and the execution of projects
- Ensure project control procedures and policies are executed and assisting in maintaining project schedules
- Monitor projects for compliance with design and specification, and implement quality surveillance procedures
- Participate in quantity take offs, estimating, and purchasing activities.
- Conducting site inspections
- Monitor, track and submit all project specific paperwork relating to the company’s HSE Program.
- Assist with document control, close out documents and other administrative tasks
- Attend site meetings
- Manage technical documents such as RFI’s, NCR’s, etc.
- Be an active participant in company safety culture, and showing commitment to working safely
- Other duties as required
Required Skills
- Civil Engineering Degree, Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management (BTech-CM) required
- Hands on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Team player
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Class 5 Driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
- This position is 90% field/travel based and will work on project rotation of 14/7 or 21/7. Accommodations (camp or hotel) and meals/LOA will be provided when working away from home.
