Grand River Personnel is a locally owned and operated staffing and recruitment agency that has proudly served the Kitchener-Waterloo Region since 1978.
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our busy office for the seasonal recruitment period.
This temporary, full-time vacancy is expected to run through approximately mid-December.

Rate of Pay: $20.50/hr
Hours of Work: Day shift, Monday – Friday 30-40 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome candidates and provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Manage a busy multi-line phone system while ensuring calls and messages are handled efficiently.
- Support the recruitment process by screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and making outbound recruiting calls.
- Respond promptly to staffing requests while building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Complete general administrative duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate candidate records.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures, including WHMIS and WSIB requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the recruiting team, adapting quickly to changing priorities and providing support wherever needed throughout the day.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, recruitment, human resources, or an administrative support role.
- Degree or diploma from a recognized College or University.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage several responsibilities simultaneously while seamlessly pivoting between competing priorities.
- A true team player who is adaptable, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-first approach.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with WordPress, Canva, Meta Business Suite, and social media content creation is considered a strong asset.
