Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated and dependable ENTRY LEVEL fabricator to join our production team. This hands on role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who enjoys building and creating. Basic welding experience is highly valued but no prior sign experience is required-we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret design blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate signs accurately.
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of a wide variety of custom signs.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and hand tools, power tools.
- Read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Perform basic welding tasks ( MIG preferred) under supervision as needed.
- Cut, shape, bend, and assemble materials to create sign components.
- Apply paints, coatings, and finishes to signs as required.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the final products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues that may arise during the production process.
- Collaborate with the design team to provide input and suggest improvements for sign fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
- Keep track of inventory levels and submit requisitions for materials and supplies as needed.
- Support senior fabricators and installers with production tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sign Fabricator or similar role, preferably in the signage industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting design blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Comfortable working fabrication techniques, materials, and tools.
- Basic welding experience or welding school preferred
- Ability to work with various materials, such as metal, plastic, and wood, to produce high-quality signs.
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and craftsmanship skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials 50LB + when required.
