Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vegetable Packer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves preparing fresh vegetables for distribution by ensuring they are properly packed, labeled, and ready for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience with warehouse equipment or mechanical tools is a plus. This position offers an engaging work environment focused on quality and productivity.
Duties
- Carefully inspect vegetables for quality and freshness before packing
- Operate packaging machinery and hand tools to assemble product packages
- Use forklifts or other warehouse equipment to move raw materials and finished products as needed
- Assemble packaging components and ensure all items meet company standards
- Label packages accurately with product information and weight specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with inventory management by recording packaged quantities and reporting shortages or issues
- Follow safety protocols and mechanical procedures during operation of equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools is advantageous
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar warehouse equipment (training provided if necessary)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Experience with packaging processes or assembly lines is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining safety standards
Pay: From $16.60 per hour
