Location: Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square), Downtown Toronto, ON

About WorldFest Canada
WorldFest Canada is Canada's largest multicultural fusion festival, returning to Sankofa Square in the heart of downtown Toronto on July 11 and 12, 2026. Over two days the festival draws more than 120,000 visitors for live music, dance, global cuisine, and cultural performances from around the world. We are looking for passionate volunteer videographers to help capture the energy, colour, and community spirit of the weekend.
The Role
As a volunteer event videographer, you will film the festival as it happens: stage performances, crowd moments, food vendors, sponsor activations, interviews, and candid behind the scenes footage. Your clips will help tell the WorldFest story across our website and social media, fuel short form content such as Reels and TikToks, and support marketing for future events.
Event Dates and Shifts
Saturday, July 11, 2026: 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2026: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Volunteers may sign up for one or both days. Please share your availability when you apply.

- Shoot vertical short form clips for social media as well as horizontal coverage
- Cover assigned areas and shift times as scheduled

- Deliver edited highlight clips and raw footage within an agreed turnaround after the event
What We Are Looking For
- Your own video equipment (camera or gimbal setup, or capable mobile rig)
- Experience with event, concert, or short form social video
- Comfortable filming in large crowds and in low light or evening conditions
- Basic editing skills for quick turnaround highlight clips (an asset)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- A reel or sample work is an asset
What You Get
Although this is an unpaid volunteer role, you will receive:
- Full festival access on your scheduled days
- Credit across WorldFest Canada channels
- Portfolio and reel material from one of Toronto's largest cultural events
- A letter of reference or volunteer hours on request
- Networking with artists, vendors, and the event team
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Work Location: In person
