Solaris Canada is hiring a detail-oriented Shop Technician to support production and fabrication of our custom exterior systems.
This is not a general labour role. We’re looking for someone with strong measuring, cutting, and assembly skills who wants to build a long-term career in fabrication and production.
You’ll work closely with our team to prep jobs, build components, and grow into a key role in our fulfillment and production operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Measure, cut, and assemble components for:
- Screen systems
- Window and frame assemblies
- Louvred roof and glass roof systems
- Prepare materials and job packages for installation crews
- Operate shop tools and equipment safely and accurately
- Assist with fabrication processes including light metal work and assembly
- Maintain an organized, efficient workspace
What You Bring
- Proven ability to measure accurately and work with precision
- Experience using cutting tools and shop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow processes and work within a team
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with window, frame assembly or similar skillset
- Basic welding or metal fabrication skills
- Experience using a sewing machine (for screen/fabric components)
- Background in carpentry, fabrication, or manufacturing
