Our fleet is a rapidly growing transport and logistics provider looking for a professional, reliable, and safety-minded Local AZ Driver to join our regional GTA operations. This position requires high scheduling flexibility, including dedicated weekend availability and the readiness to work across all 7 days of the week as necessary to service our consistent, time-sensitive regional freight.

Key Responsibilities
- Safe Local Operation: Safely and efficiently operate AZ tractor-trailer combinations within the Greater Toronto Area, navigating tight docks, commercial zones, and heavy traffic.
- Logistics & Compliance: Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and properly track/document all activity logs in strict compliance with MTO regulations.
- Inspections: Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (Schedule 1) to ensure equipment is roadworthy; immediately report any mechanical defects to dispatch.
- Dock Navigation & Cargo: Oversee the safe delivery of goods, ensuring proper securing of freight and professional interaction with local receivers.
- Communication: Maintain proactive, professional communication with local dispatch regarding arrival times, delays at the dock, and route updates.
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial AZ driving experience, ideally with a strong background navigating the GTA.
- Licensing: Valid Ontario Class AZ Commercial Driver’s License.
- Schedule Flexibility: Absolute availability to work any day of the week, 7 days a week as necessary (including Saturdays and Sundays), is a mandatory requirement.
- Driving Record: A clean commercial driver's abstract and CVOR with no major violations.
- Attributes: Punctual, self-reliant, strong communication skills, and a deep commitment to safe city driving.
