STK Steakhouse Fallsview is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant DJ to join our team and elevate the dining experience with an expertly curated music selection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a high-energy atmosphere that complements our brand and enhances the guest experience.
As the successful candidate your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide an exceptional music experience by creating playlists and live mixes tailored to STK’s vibe and clientele
- Play a mix of genres to create an upbeat and inviting atmosphere, ensuring smooth transitions between sets
- Collaborate with the management team to align music with the restaurants ambiance, special events, and themes
- Monitor and adjust the sound system to maintain optimal quality throughout the venue
- Interact with guests, taking music requests when appropriate and maintaining overall energy of the space
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the STK and Fallsview Group brand in a positive manner
- Stay current with music trends and adjust the playlist to keep the atmosphere fresh and engaging
- Support promotional events and theme nights as required
The qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Proven experience as a DJ in high-end restaurants, lounges or nightlife venues
- Strong knowledge of music genres, including house, lounge, and top 40 hits
- Ability to read the room and adjust the music to match the energy and mood of guests
- Proficiency with DJ equipment and applicable software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work on weekends and holidays as needed
