Job Overview We are seeking a Long Haul Driver to join our team. Our company operates routes across Canada and the USA, primarily transporting to destinations in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, and Idaho, with some loads to Alberta and occasionally to Saskatchewan. This position offers competitive pay at 55-60 cents per mile.
Responsibilities
- Transport goods over long distances in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Maintain accurate driving logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Ensure cargo is secured properly
Skills
- Commercial driving experience
- Basic automotive repair skills
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures
