Job Title: SPINCO Oak Bay Team Lead
Position Description:
SPINCO is more than a workout—it’s a community. As a Team Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless studio operations, rider experience, and team development at our Oak Bay studio. This role combines front-of-house leadership with behind-the-scenes organization to ensure every class delivers the energy and excellence SPINCO is known for.
This position contributes to SPINCO Vancouver Island overall success by assisting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with day to day operations at our Oak Bay location. A candidate that would excel in this role is confident in their abilities to connect and maintain relationships with our clients, works well in a team environment, and takes direction well from others.
Job Type: 25-30 Hours a week, weekend availability necessary.
Reporting to: SPINCO Vancouver Island’s General Manager and Assistant Manager
Based at: SPINCO Oak Bay - 2005 Oak Bay Ave
Key Responsibilities
On-Shift Leadership
- Execute all key Lead (front desk) duties during shifts, including:
- Rider check-in and exceptional customer service
- Shoe inventory & maintenance
- Class flips and studio reset between rides
- Overseeing Energy Exchange (EE) team members during your shift
- Managing email and phone communications
- Minor bike repairs and daily equipment checks
- Full studio cleaning duties
Operations & Maintenance
- Weekly cleat maintenance and daily bike upkeep
- Inventory management for the Oak Bay studio
- Support instructor equipment needs
Community & Rider Experience
- Coordinate private classes and special studio activations/events
- Follow up on rider feedback and triage negative experiences
- Manage LCE and membership freeze requests
Team Collaboration
- Attend a weekly touch base meeting with your superior to review priorities and performance
- Perform weekly additional administrative tasks and projects as directed by the General Manager (GM) or Assistant General Manager (AGM)
