Process Engineer

INFINITEK is partnering with a leading North American industrial manufacturer to appoint an experienced Process Engineer for a critical plant-based engineering position in Lake Utopia.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly technical manufacturing site where you’ll play a key role in operational excellence, environmental performance, and long-term capital improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead process investigations, plant trials, and continuous improvement projects
- Analyze operational trends, identify performance gaps, and implement solutions
- Support environmental, quality, production, and safety initiatives
- Work closely with operations teams, maintenance, and plant leadership
- Provide technical input on capital projects and shutdown activities
- Drive cost reduction and process optimization across the facility
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Ideally 8–15 years of industrial process engineering experience
- Background in pulp & paper, packaging, chemicals, utilities, wastewater, energy, or similar heavy process industries
- Strong experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization
- Comfortable working directly with plant operators in a production environment
- Experience in unionized manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
