Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal body structures.
- Accurately document findings and assist physicians in interpreting results.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures during all examinations.
- Keep detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and imaging data.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital or clinic policies, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment with attention to image quality.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures and interacting with patients compassionately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for record keeping and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Certification or licensure as a Sonographer is preferred, along with relevant experience in medical imaging.
