Roar Communications is a growing digital advertising company specializing in digital signage and media installations across hospitality and entertainment venues throughout Canada. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Electrician / AV Installer in Vancouver to support upcoming screen installations in bars, restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs.
Position Overview
We are looking for a licensed electrician capable of performing both electrical work and TV/display installations in commercial environments. The successful candidate will work alongside our local field technician to complete professional, client-facing installations while ensuring all work meets local electrical and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install new electrical outlets and power connections based on provided backplate and screen mounting templates
- Perform commercial electrical work safely and efficiently in hospitality environments
- Assist with mounting and securing digital display screens and hardware
- Coordinate onsite with Roar Communications field technicians
- Ensure clean cable management and professional finishing standards
- Troubleshoot power or mounting issues during installation
- Follow all workplace safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Complete installations within scheduled timelines
Requirements
- Valid Electrical License/Certification in British Columbia
- Experience working in commercial environments including:
- Bars
- Restaurants
- Nightclubs
- Hospitality venues
- Experience with TV mounting, digital signage, or AV installations
- Valid liability insurance and proof of coverage
- Ability to provide licensing and certification documentation upon request
- Own tools, PPE, and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and professionalism onsite
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or off-hours installations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-voltage or structured cabling
- Familiarity with commercial construction or retrofit projects
- Previous digital signage installation experience
- Working at heights certification considered an asset
