Job Title: Bilingual Collections Agent III
Duration: Aug. 10/26 to Aug. 9/27 (contract)
Hours: Mondy to Thursday 11am-9pm (Atlantic time) off Friday and Saturday 9-5 Atlantic time
Pay Rate: $23.00-$24.50/hour + 4% vacation pay
Locations: Monday-Thursday onsite and Saturdays remote – Saint John, New Brunswick.
The Bilingual Collections Agent is responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer calls to resolve outstanding balances while delivering professional, solution-focused service. This role supports business growth by strengthening customer relationships, identifying appropriate solutions, and ensuring accurate, compliant account handling.
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Handle inbound calls and place outbound calls related to account collections
- Provide courteous, efficient, and professional service at all times
- Engage customers to understand their financial situation and collection needs
- Offer clear guidance, product knowledge, and appropriate solutions
- Resolve issues on the first contact whenever possible; escalate when required
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to internal partners when applicable
Business & Shareholder Support
- Contribute to business growth through effective referrals and solution-based conversations
- Promote the bank’s full suite of products, services, and capabilities
- Follow all operating policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of documentation and transactions
- Escalate non-standard or high-risk activities as required
- Support operational excellence and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Conduct due diligence to ensure accuracy of all customer activities
- Comply with the Bank Code of Conduct at all times
Requirements:
- Bilingual – French and English
- Great communication
- MS suite
- Attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- Previous Banking Experience is an asset
